Rose Drive GATE
Rose Drive teachers and staff understand the social, emotional, and intellectual needs of gifted students. With this understanding, teachers provide learning opportunities that allow students to dive deeper into the complexities of concepts and topics. Teachers work to provide opportunities for academic rigor, develop organizational and study skills, facilitate the use of technology to support and enhance their learning and foster the development of critical thinking while encouraging collaboration and effective communication through speaking and writing.
Teachers have been trained in Differentiated Instruction which includes depth and complexity and content imperatives. Within the GATE cluster classroom setting, curriculum differentiation may include curriculum compacting, enrichment, tiered assignments, and project menus. Rose Drive’s GATE students are encouraged to develop the habits of mind that lead to becoming lifelong scholars, critical thinkers, collaborators, innovators, leaders, and global citizens.
